In this MDB Seminar, Kongtrul Rinpoche shares the heart practice of a modern day bodhisattva: the Four Immeasurables. He explains how equanimity, loving-kindness, compassion, and sympathetic joy can free us from the suffering of our own neuroses. He also discusses how the Four Immeasurables form the ground of genuine altruism (lhakpi sampa), which sweeps out insecurities and recharges our heart. Rinpoche then leads a Four Immeasurables meditation, and shares his personal experience with this practice. We are invited to emulate his step-by-step meditation and in doing so to transform ourselves into modern day bodhisattvas.
