Dungse Jampal Norbu was born into a dharma family in 1988, as the son of Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche and Elizabeth Mattis-Namgyel. When Dungse la was still an infant, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche instructed Kongtrul Rinpoche to train his son to serve as his Dharma Heir and uphold the MSB lineage in the West. Dungse la’s anecdotal style and genuine curiosity about how Buddhism relates to actual experience imbue his teaching with a fresh perspective, and reveal a natural wisdom and humor.
